Jerrold Burchman recently returned to Los Angeles after 22 years of living and painting in Santa Barbara. He has been teaching drawing, painting and design for 48 years at many colleges and universities including UCLA, USC, UC Irvine, UC Santa Cruz, The Otis College of Art and Design and Art Center College of Design. He is currently an adjunct faculty member at Santa Monica College.
Mr. Burchman has been exhibiting his work for over 50 years at galleries and museums throughout the United States and Europe. His work is included in many museum and corporate collections, notably the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, The Joseph Hirshorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, The Santa Barbara Museum of Art, The Denver Museum, The Portland Museum of Art, The Bordeaux Museum (France) and the La Jolla Museum of Art.
He has been the recipient of a Fulbright Fellowship in painting to Italy, The Louis Comfort Tiffany Award in painting, as well as the Artist in Residence at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art, and Kunst Complex in Rotterdam.
