Deda Jacobsen became an art educator at the Brentwood Art Center over 35 years ago. She has been changing lives of aspiring artists on the Westside for the last forty years as a mentor, coach, instructor and critic.
Deda graduated from Northwestern University and has won a number of artist’s awards and recognitions. She has also participated in a variety of art and community related projects, including acting as a Art History consultant for KNBC and has exhibited at Barnsdall Park.
Deda leads students to perfect their talents, not get lost in the process and to work beyond what they think is possible.
